Konak Premium is a restaurant inside the walls of Berat Castle, opened in 2025 by two lifelong friends in a stone house with a pergola terrace looking over the valley. The kitchen pairs traditional Albanian cooking and mezze with dry-aged premium cuts and local wines, and evenings often bring live traditional music.

Why We Love It

Dinner starts with the climb through the castle lanes and ends under a pergola strung with lights, with Berat's roofs and the mountains fading below. The name means a welcoming house, and the generous plates, the byrek carved at the table and the music drifting across the terrace live up to it.
