San Giorgio al Porto is an Italian seafood restaurant beside the harbour in Vlorë, a short walk from the promenade. The kitchen works with the day's catch in the Italian manner, from sea urchins and raw prawn crudo to grilled fish, seafood pasta and Catalan-style lobster, served in a small, tidy dining room.
Why We Love It
A plate of sea urchins on ice and a glass of cold white wine, a few metres from the boats that landed them, sets the tone here. The cooking is straightforward Adriatic-Italian, and the small room and attentive service make it feel like a neighbourhood trattoria that happens to sit on the port.
