Arta Mario is a family-run bar and restaurant in the village of Nartë, just north of Vlorë beside the Narta lagoon. The kitchen focuses on local seafood cooked simply, with fish soup, fried and grilled fish, stuffed calamari, seafood pasta and risotto, and the eel the lagoon is known for, served in a large, lively dining room and on a covered terrace.

Why We Love It

Lunch here is generous and unfussy: a bowl of fish soup, a plate of small fried fish with lemon, then linguine heavy with prawns, all at village prices a few minutes from the Vlorë seafront. The room is loud with families and the eel from the lagoon is the reason many regulars make the drive.
