Taverna Peshkatari is a small fisherman's tavern on a quiet street near Wilson Square in Tirana, open daily for lunch and dinner. The menu is all about the day's catch, grilled or fried and simply plated: octopus, prawns, calamari, whole sea bass and seafood pasta, served on a covered terrace with a nautical, no-frills feel.
Why We Love It
Oars on the wall, blue-patterned plates and a grill that does most of the talking: this is seafood the way it is eaten on the coast, brought into the middle of Tirana. The charred octopus and a heap of crisp fried prawns and calamari are the orders that keep the neighbourhood coming back.
