Kapiteni is a family-run beachfront bar and restaurant on Jal beach, open since 1994, with tables set under thatched shade a few steps from the water. The kitchen keeps things simple and fresh: grilled fish, mussels, seafood pasta and village salads, served from breakfast through to late evening.
Why We Love It
Lunch here means bare feet on wooden decking, a plate of mussels with lemon and the Ionian a few metres away. It is the kind of unhurried beach kitchen where the fish is whatever came in that morning and nobody minds if you stay for the sunset.
